Must-Visit
Top Attractions
The best of Amritsar, all within easy reach of our properties.
Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib)
The holiest shrine of Sikhism and one of the most visited religious sites in the world. The stunning gold-plated gurudwara sits in the middle of a sacred pool (Amrit Sarovar), reflecting beautifully at night. The langar (free community kitchen) serves over 100,000 meals daily to visitors of all faiths.
Jallianwala Bagh
A historic public garden and memorial of national importance, commemorating the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 13 April 1919. The preserved bullet marks on the walls and the Martyrs' Well tell the poignant story of India's freedom struggle. The beautifully renovated memorial complex opened in 2021.
Wagah Border Ceremony
Witness the electrifying Beating Retreat ceremony at the India-Pakistan border every evening before sunset. The flag-lowering ceremony is a patriotic spectacle with synchronised military drills, spirited chanting, and an atmosphere unlike anything else. Our hotel can arrange transport for this must-see experience.
Partition Museum
The world's first museum dedicated to the Partition of India in 1947. Located in the beautifully restored Town Hall, the museum houses photographs, documents, personal belongings, and oral histories that bring this defining moment in South Asian history to life.
Gobindgarh Fort
A beautifully restored 18th-century fort that once housed the Kohinoor diamond. Today it's a living museum with 7D theatre shows, live cultural performances, a Sikh-era armoury, and the "Whispering Walls" light and sound show after dark. A wonderful experience for families.
Hall Bazaar & Local Markets
Amritsar's vibrant shopping street stretching from the Railway Station to the Golden Temple. Famous for Phulkari dupattas, juttis (Punjabi shoes), dry fruits, and Amritsari papads. The narrow lanes around the old city are a treasure trove of handicrafts, textiles, and street food.
Durgiana Temple
Often called the Silver Temple, Durgiana Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga. Its architecture mirrors the Golden Temple with a sacred pool and ornate silver doors. The temple complex also houses the Lakshminarayan Temple and Sitla Mata Mandir within its grounds.
